Have you seen your dog on other sites?

I think I can edit that wiki page to add info like credits to pictures?

    • Julius often shows up on other websites as a representative of the Caucasian Ovcharka breed.  Here is one example.

I don't mind when my photos or photos of my dogs are used. It is great that others chose to use them.  I just wish they would give credit to the source. See more photos of Julius in the old md gallery

      • Not happened to me personally but i have seen Fila's I know show up on sites.

I would be mad if no credits were give (like a site link or a kennel name)

That happens all too often now that everything is on the internet.  It is often incorrectly "assumed" that things on the internet are "public."

          • I have seen julius In the wikepedea page too.

            • I think most of they take the first picture that shows in "Google Pictures"...

                  • I edited the page but some guy removed it telling me :" Names of dogs and/or owners are not used in image captions"  I added the names after the breed name under the picture, but that is not allowed so it seems, am trying to get answers about were to add it then.. TBC :)

                    • I'm sorry but I reverted the contribution you made but the names of owners and/or dogs cannot be used as it would be seen as promotional/advertising. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please let me know.

So I will ask again but it seems that i need to ask some more because it cannot be so that they can use pictures without credits...

                      • It is ok. I appreciat the effort. At least we know the dog and who owns it.  Can you post the original on wiki commons where they allow credits?

So - it appears that the photo was uploaded by my "household" long time ago on the wiki during a time of contention regarding breed colors.  It should have been placed in Wiki Commons where credits and other info could be added.

Thank you very much for your effort on the RamsSport.

                        • no problem, I still do not agree that one can not put the name of his dog and owner on a wiki but the again I also understand the advertisement fear...

                          oh well :)
