Olly the dog goes to work with me every day on the back of my ute. He is clipped to a dog restraining hook I had custom welded when I bought the vehicle. That weld broke yesterday while I was motoring down a huge hill with steep steep sides at the edge of the road. Olly went sailing out at 80 kilometres an hour and crashed a hundred metres down an embankment thru heavy vegetation. I thought he was going to die. I was VERY VERY relieved when he just came sprinting back up the hill and jumped straight back onto the ute... Man, he is just one tough dog. He got very spoiled last night! -

I took him to the vet to be checked out. She said he seemed fine but to watch him for any signs of discomfit... its been about 36 hours now since it happened and he is still a very happy dog. So I guess he is ok.
