About the Bully Kutta

Then I have to say Terry you breed a different dog from 2 other Bully Kutta breeders I have spoke to- one from Pakistan and one from India. Their Bullys can basically only really be handled by one handler- they aren't however as violent as the Gull-dong.

You can continue the discussion here. terryMBK All Bully Kutta's have Old English Bull terrier and Bull N' Terrier (called Gull Terr) blood. Even the mighty kamla at 36 inch shoulder has around 25% Gull terr blood. Many believe the Bully Kutta to be an Ancient breed, but even though events set in place in the 18th and 19th century contributed to the evolution of the Bully Kutta, the real story starts after 1947......FULL DETAILS IN UNITED NATIONAL KENNEK CLUBS GUIDE TO THE BULLY KUTTA, available soon kalanaag (195.93.21.101 [195.93.21.101]) [Feb 25, 2005 @ 10:23 PM] No Bull introduction to the Bully Kutta kalanaag (195.93.21.101 [195.93.21.101]) [Feb 25, 2005 @ 10:24 PM] Available soon......... :-D kalanaag (195.93.21.101 [195.93.21.101]) [Feb 25, 2005 @ 10:53 PM] from Unkennelclub@aol.com greenockaldo (217.43.193.41 [217.43.193.41]) [Feb 28, 2005 @ 06:56 AM] Not what I've been told. There are pure bully breeders of the true breed which has been around far longer than you say. Which actually most of your dogs apart from the Grandad to your dog don't look all that much like. Salik (195.8.178.117 [195.8.178.117]) [Mar 01, 2005 @ 06:32 AM] fantasitic dogs.. i have seen hundreds of breads these Bully dogs has to be one of the finest!!! The fact remains that Bully Kutta's started as an amalgamation of several breeds. I can call any of my dogs true/pure breed BK's but the fact remains that they have had several breeds in their make up. BK's have been bred on performance rather than looks since 1947, one of the most sordid sports has created something very beautiful. There is no equivilent in Pakistan's neighbouring countries as Dog fighting has never been popular there, hopefully this will be the case soon in Pakistan as well. Wolf [Mar 02, 2005 @ 06:35 AM] Sure, just do a Great Dane/Neo/Pit Bull/Mastiff/American Bulldog/whatever cross and call it a Bully Kutta. Who cares? If it looks similar enough, someone will buy the pups... greenockaldo (217.43.193.41 [217.43.193.41]) [Mar 02, 2005 @ 07:39 AM] What about India? I have seen pure Bullys far and above better than in the west. BK's bred for performance- yes- but they would have only been bred with other pure Bullys if you want to call yours that. Pure ones are rare enough in Pakistan and India as it is. Only a handful of dedicated breeders sadly remain. terryMBK (195.93.21.101 [195.93.21.101]) [Mar 02, 2005 @ 11:23 AM] Truth is very hard to face sometimes. There are certain types of BK and fanciers of each type call their dogs pure. Each claim their type is centuries old with purest blue blood running through its veins, all this without a shred of evidence. I am from Pakistan and have kept BK's for over 20 years in Pakistan. BK is a Pakistani breed. India may well have Mastiff type dogs but they are not BK's. I have yet to see any convincing evidence of this. Thankfully as Bear Baiting has seen an end in Pakistan, the days of Dog fighting are numbered as well. BK is a Majestic breed in its many shapes and forms, none being truer or purer than the other. To protest about Dog fighting in Pakistan, send an e mail to your local Embassy or Counsulate of Pakistan. We at United National Kennel Club in UK are campaining and lobying the Govt. of Pakistan to put an end to this Barbaric sport. greenockaldo (217.43.193.41 [217.43.193.41]) [Mar 02, 2005 @ 12:37 PM] You have about 4 types alleged Bullys, a Sindh Bully(Indian Mastiff), an old english mastiff and a great dane. It looks to me as though you are or have already crossing these to breed what you call Bully Kuttas. And if the yare true Bullys they should be violent beyond training to mostly anyone. terryMBK (195.93.21.101 [195.93.21.101]) [Mar 02, 2005 @ 01:00 PM] Sindh is in PAKISTAN. Read the caption under the pics of the Mastiff and the Great Dane, they are a camparison of what went into make up of BK's. As for your last sentance you seem to have no experience with dogs, generalisations like this have done great harm to many a breed we all love and admire. Have you forgotten hyteria sorrounding APBT's.

        • Gull Dongs and Gull Terr are the most meanest one ..but you can also put Bully Kutha on extremely aggrressive dog category ..
          • It is ridicules to make claims that the bull kutha cannot be handled or trained by more then one individual. I have been training and breeding kutha since i was a young boy. I have kutha that have been socialized and are pets which play well with my grandchildren and play with other animals. In addition, the kuthas that I use for the ladri are unsocial and very violent this is needed because they are tools of my family trade. This is a little information about the bull kutha. G fazalka
            • Hi greenockaldo, I have not seen any pics from the Breeder u mention in India. Could it be that he has none  The only other pic of an Indian mastiff I have ever seen is a small mastiff on this site, not a BK by any means. BK is a large molosser and it has presence and grace. I dont mind criticism, it is the only way we learn of our shortcomings and take corrective action. But please provide proof of what u r saying, not what some breeder has told u. I will be posting dozens of more pics of my dogs in action showing what they are capable of. Let see others who make big claims, do the same. 8)
                • Hi greenockaldo thanks for the pics, lovely dogs. I like the red and white one especially. I am not a Bull terrier enthusiast but these dogs do look quite nice. Not all dogs in any breed can have the same temperament. You can get the odd mean soul, but its usaully lack of socialization/discipline, and sometimes new/terrified owners let the dog take over. The result, the breed gets a bad rep. 8)
                  • Looking to see some Bully Kutta, Bull Dong dogs and info., etc. to judge them for myself. Does anyone know of any owners in the NY or NJ area? Thanks

                      • those mbk dogs in pakistan would be called bully kuttas. the dogs fall under the bull 'n' terrier category (fighting dogs) a tosa, fila even a neo would be called a bully kutta in pakistan, why? because they are the same thing and of the mastiff type dogs. bully kutta is basically a sage koochee CROSS with the now extinct afghan bulldog (decended from the ancient alaunt) cross with an afghan/persian tazi greyhound type. and bred in the north west of india in various regional variations/types. the bully kutta together with sage koochis and aryan molosser were used as fighting dogs in what today is pakistan and afghanistan. when the british army came with their dogs, the local bully kuttas got crossed with great danes, english mastiffs, greyhounds, bull'n'terriers and other breeds brought by the british greatly influecing the bully kutta. thus the similarity between bully kuttas, tosas , filas and other mastiffs can clearly be seen. since dog fighting, bear baiting/wild animal baiting took off during colonial rule in what today is pakistan , the locals found that the old type english bull terrier and the old tyme staffs to be superior fighters, especially the old english bull terrier. these british dogs got bred with the already british influenced bully kutta to produce specialised bull 'n' terrier type fighting dogs such as the kohati bully kutta, gull dong and the gull terr. these dogs proved to be superior and better fighters than the more larger mastiff type bully kutta. the old type english bull terriers that remained and were still bred eventually overtime got mixed into the local gull terrs, thus seeing the old english bull terrier going extinct. the kohati bully, gull dong, and gull terr creation happened in the nwfp of pakistan in the area mainly inhabited by the khattak and niazi pathans.
                        • greenockaldo sir, where is your proof that those pictures are from india, and this mysterious breeder atul tiwary who gives links and contacts that never work. those gull terr ( old hinks bullterrier) pictures u have posted are not in india, but from kohat in pakistan. those dogs are true bred gull terrs from kohat. i've seen gull terr both in jhelum and mirpur AK in real life and on the internet from some websites and people posting pictures of those dogs taken in kohat. also the mud/concrete thick walls, the style of bayra, the chains, is classic punjab and northern pakistan the surroundings are also very similar to pictures posted by people of gull terrs in the kohat i've seen. it doesn't matter if u forge the pictures and pencil in atul tiwary with your fancy computer tricks. also your gull dong is also supsicious because that dog looks exactly like a dog owned by a chaudry in azad kashmir, the brown markings are exactly in the same place on the dog. also if u look at the dog handler , and his feet, clothing, chapals (leather slippers) surroundings they look exactly the same of the dog handler in azad kashmir. also the pictures are similar to ones i have seen of this dog and handler from azad kashmir. also that gull dong is one of the types of bully that are bred in mirpur and kotli areas where i'm from. that type of bully is the ones i've seen in my home village and area, and ones i've seen in ratta, dadyal, charohi, chechian, jatlan and sanga area bred in azad kashmir and parts of northern punjab not india.

They are mixes, similiar Dogs can be found in many shelters! A Neo, a Tosa and a Fila are something different. What they do is a true insult to the true, Pure BK! That Kalanaag in the BK-Gallery, looks like a dog which i have seen a few years ago. There was a Skinhead in my Area which kept a dog, which was a mix between Corso, Mastino, APBT, and Greyhound. He used that Dog as a Schutzhund. The Dog was taken away by the gov, because the father was an APBT. The only difference between the two dogs, was that the other dog was called "Mjölnir" and that he had white on the rump. To sell fakes as real BKs is bad! It would be the same to sell a Patterdale x OEB as a real APBT. People do so much, for a quick buck, and i think it is dangerous, to sell some crossbreeds, where the new owner doesn't even knows what breeds the ancestors were, and the pup or adult dog is not socialized properly, and the owner doesn't even know anything about the specific needs of the breeds! Regards The Rasta
                            • kalanaag is a skinhead ? the literal translation is black jewel and is a name of a dog. also mbk have given contacts to breeders for info agree they're dogs may not be pure bully kuttas but they will be called the bully kutta type by the majority of pakistanis /villagers in pakistan.

And that dog was no BK. But we are not in Pakistan and there are a lot of differences between Bully Kuttas, the MBK Dogs, and Tosas,...
                                • As a general rule we do not discuss breeders and their programs. Usually the discussions get too personal and turns into a hydrant wetting contest. Discussion of the types of BK is an excellent topic because many of us, including me, learn so much from reading your words. So please keep it real, not peraonal, and drop all references to the breeder in question.
                                  • here are some pictures of some male bully kutta's we use in our breeding program as studs. We are expecting some puppies to be ready to go in like a month in a half. The stud of the litter is the super conditioned white bully on the bottom right. These are some of the strongest nicest looking Bully's I have seen on the internet so far so check us out and enjoy. Just click on gallery then on the thumbnail of the white bully http://www.webspawner.com/users/usabullykutta/index.html
