Sitting - HELP

I've heard that about dogs who sit like that with bad hips, but the only dog I ever had who was dysplastic never ever sat leaning to 1 side.

    • HELP, I have a question/concern about the way my dog sits at times. Butch sometimes leans on one side, no issues just REALLY relaxed if you notice with the picture. My concern is, I never thought it was a problem and I'm still not sure now but when he was at his PP/OB class I overheard a couple people tell their dogs to get off their hips and then adjust them. Is this way of sitting bad for their hips or is it something that is hereditary so no need for concern? Thanks in advance. • Thanks a lot C
          • my dogs usually sit like that. They are fine - no issues.
            • Every dog sits like that, I think except for greyhounds which peculiarly for some reason can't?
              • It has more to do with rear conformation than hips, no big deal. Every Bullterrier I have seen (including mine) sits similar except with feet extended, lol. Its pretty funny looking.
                • My [link=http://www.trainpetdog.com/Saint-Bernard/about-saint-bernard.html]Saint Bernard[/link] also sits like that sometimes. I think it's just normal unless the dog is having pain or any uncomfortable moments.
